Holi Celebration

April 13, 2018

After being in the neighborhood for just a few days, we were able to know the staff at the hotel, meet a few people who lived nearby and be able to observe this wonderful celebration. The patrons of the households would greet their neighbors and pass out treats after being visited by the crowd. We met this man and his son on the street and it turns out that we share several Facebook friends! The young girl came up to meet us and invite us to her home. Unfortunately we were tired and distracted and didn't go. I do have connections there now, so I'm going to try and send her this photograph.

Other visitors had the same idea. Stay awhile. It works.

Note that we are building a site that is not Non-Profit. Journeyman will be promoting programs of educational travel around the world. Most of this work will be to share the organizations that are providing experiences that fit our goals. The purpose we are pursuing at Journeyman Network, is  the promotion of small group or independent travel to one place for an extended time to pursue a passionate interest. We ask for donations to support this unpaid work of sharing information about enhancing thoughtful travel. We also are creating new programs and offering the service of custom group and individual travel experiences.

Email us about setting up a group for you to explore what you are passionate about.
